What a strange and wonderful notion is represented by aliyah.  The idea of a 'homeland' is not exactly foreign, thanks to our President's political machinations, but I feel no attachment to the US in the way that any Zionistic Jew feels to Israel.  A real cultural home, not just one established by fiat (although in some respects it is), but one steeped with literally thousands of years of tradition and history. 

I am truly envious.  May the Siegels fare well in that beautiful place.
